While his personal assets are not directly impacted by this, it looks like the Curse of the Bambino may have been absorbed deep into the soul of the man who traded Nomah. Be those Sox cursed again come October say I !!!!

And
as bibigon pointed out in the BTF thread (Related) , Henry isn't significantly invested in his own hedge fund. That's bad for his customers, good for him. There's less to this story than meets the eye.
Also, it doesn't intrinsically follow that this is a bad thing for the Red Sox. The Sox still have NESN from which to draw revenues (the Angels have no such analogous arrangement), and are the only team in a relatively baseball-rabid area (New England outside of southern Connecticut). The Sox have plenty of money to inflate the major league payroll structure without worrying about tapping Henry's ownership group.

the point is
the assumption is often that the one who wins big once or twice is a perennial winner, when in reality the one who fucks up unbelievably once tends to fuck up unbelievably more often - so just as obody could imagine J.H. fucing up this big based on his reputation, he COULD LIKELY fuck up the Red Sox something fierce MUCH more so than he is likely to build a dynasty...
